La casa Frey è un’antica casa in pietra costruita nel 1920 dal bisnonno del proprietario corrente. E’ stata completamente ristrutturata durante gli anni scorsi cercando di mantenere intatti i dettagli tipici dell’architettura di un tempo come camini e alcune pareti di pietra. Situata ai margini dell’antico paese di Vacciago, permette di raggiungere a piedi il negozio del villaggio con le sue specialità tipiche locali.
Gli ospiti possono utilizzare la piscina esterna con lettini prendisole ( da maggio a settembre) e la minipiscina interna con idromassaggio. La Casa Frey è ideale anche per piccoli gruppi di parenti o amici grazie ai suoi 4 appartamenti e all’ambiente accogliente e familiare.

Very relaxing (Frey 1)

We spent a wonderful relaxing fortnight in casa frey.
The house is situated in a very quiet place but the infrastructure is excellent. We had more than enough space for three adults and two children. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything you need, everything was clean and the family owning the house was really nice and very helpful.

Our family of two adults and three children had a wonderful time at Lake Orta, and really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It had everything we needed, with the bonus of very helpful, friendly owners who were prepared to do that little bit extra to make our stay successful. They provided plenty of local information, which was really useful.
We loved the little town of Orta San Giulio – there’s a great deli in the main street (along from the main squre) where they sell wonderful local cured meats, cheeses, bread etc. We had a nice meal at a lakeside restaurant in the main square. And you can do a great little walk around the lake, which takes a bit over an hour – details at tourist office. And don’t miss the drive up to the Sanctuary above the lake – views are stunning.
We also went to Stresa for a day (on Lake Maggiore), and took the boat out to visit Isola Bella and Isola Madre – highly recommended (but watch out for touts – boat tickets are cheaper from the official office, right there at the main car park on the lake).

We were able to take over the whole property (4 apartments) which gave us the benefit of not having to worry about anybody else but ourselves. Property description very accurate, clean and well maintained. Well refurbished and furnished with the owners being extremely helpful at every opportunity. A car a must and only 10 minutes into Orta San Guilio.
